Real Art Replicas is pleased to present the first in a line of historic machines that captured spirit and beauty of design, innovation and competition, the 1:8 scale #36 1967 Eagle Gurney-Westlake V-12, meticulously replicated and strictly limited to 350 produced. As the only American driver to win a Grand Prix in a car of his own construction Dan Gurney’s legacy remains intertwined with the story of this first and most famous Eagle racing car. In 1965 he along with fellow American Carroll Shelby shared the dream of an American built car that could compete with the best cars of Europe. Together they formed All American Racers (AAR) to take on the challenge. When the Eagle first appeared at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1966, its unique nose and beautiful shape immediately caught the attention and admiration from both the public and media alike. However it was not until the following year at this same track that they tasted victory. On what was considered the pinnacle of all high-speed F1 circuits at the time, Dan won the race and set a new Spa-Francorchamps lap record of 148.85 mph. RAR is currently offering a very limited number of highly detailed replicas of this most memorable car. Those who are interested in owning one of the 350 pieces available should contact Real Art Replicas at 770-868-1042 or visit www.realartreplicas.com.
